It disguises itself to be my best friend but it is actually my worst enemy. At first, it felt like I had finally found a short-cut to peace. On average, a pack of cigarette costs .50 and most times, I smoke five packs per week. That adds up to 70 spent on cigarette smoking per year. For a college student which I am, that sum is approximately 40% of the total pocket money I get from my parents for a year. Sitting back and counting the pain will only invoke a total emotional paralysis on me so instead, I need to take a swift action to completely give up smoking but there is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Now I must put an extra effort to achieve this, knowing fully well that nothing feels as good as the breeze of accomplishment.
