The effects of alcohol & smoking on a coiled brain aneurysm?

My aunt had a aneurysm late 2005 which was coiled. She has however continued to drink and smoke but of late her drinking is out of control. Do we yet know the effects that alcohol & smoking may have on the coil. We were told its anticipated life span was about 10 years. Shes spiralling out of control and I would like some facts to put in front of her.
