What effect does smoking have on the balance of oxygen & carbon dioxide in the body (lungs, bloodstream)?
I want to know if smoking raises or lowers carbon dioxide relative to oxygen. For example, does smoking a single cigarette raise or lower carbon dioxide? Does it effect the actual ratio of oxygen and carbon dioxide? Please – no anti-smoking rants or "smoking is bad for you" generalities – what I need is an answer to this specific question please. Thanks!
Could I smoke while keeping in good cardiovascular shape and not have smoking effect my lungs more negatively?
…instead of smoking and not keeping in good cardiovascular shape, or does smoking in general injured your lungs the same way no matter how good of shape you stay in?
How does smoking effect breathing and lungs?
At short-term (I'm not talking about cancer and stuff), what happends exactly to the lungs (alveoli and other stuff)? How does that effect our health (in short-term still)? Thanks in advance!
